Downtown Seattle I

Finally, we're closer than ever to the end of my travel posts. Well, that is for now since I'm still out of the country, I'll probably add some more if I get to go other places. And I know most of you miss my outfit posts already (ang feeling lang! lol), I do feel the same actually. No worries, these few last posts are the best ones and the longest since it's about a very beautiful city, which is actually the cause of the short hiatus on my blog. And the girl with me on the photo above isn't my mom, it's my aunt. She's so Filipina right?

Seattle is such a wonderful city despite it having the usual Washington State kind of weather. It's best to start this post about its brief history. Seattle is a coastal seaport city and the seat of King County in WA, USA. It is also known as The Emerald City, The City of Flowers (and I will let you see why later), and The City of Goodwill. One of the largest cities in the Pacific Northwest region of North America and one of the fastest growing cities in the United States.

This huge and elegant place is the Amtrak train station in Seattle and I'm totally digging their ceiling! Love those details! I may have said this on Instagram but I'm gonna say it again anyway, the prettiest train station I've stepped in so far. Haha!

Don't I look so touristy on the photos above? It's like in the typical Filipino movies. lol!

Now this one here is my momma and I'm so happy I'm a bit taller than her na! lol! Hi mom! Don't we look alike though except that I have chinese eyes?

If you go through a different way going to the popular Pike Market, I'm sure you'll pass by this big pig statue! It's a landmark I guess. I wonder what this piggy means though, anybody knows? Don't be too shy to share!

You just witnessed some of the things you can find in Pike Place Market. And does it explain why Seattle is also known as the City of Flowers? Those Kale flowers may look fake but they're so real and such a beauty that my aunt's husband couldn't resist buying one for her. Aww! That was so sweet! We even took turns on carrying that whole bouquet while walking around the city because it was so big and heavy and we got good compliments on it too! Anyway, Pike Place Market is one of the popular tourist destinations in the city. It is one of the oldest continuously operated public farmers' markets in the United States. It is a place of business for many small farmers, craftspeople and merchants so basically, most souvenir items there are handmade, naturally made and can be personalized which is great! You know nothing beats personalized items. A good find for me were these chilies (photo above), aren't they so unique and pretty?
