Emerald Touch

I welcomed the first day of twenty thirteen by going preppy with a touch of its pantone--Emerald Green! I just love saying that color, the name itself speaks elegance and glamour, which I love the most. I bet its your first time to see me go preppy here in my blog since I always go bohemian, well, its actually a first for me too! I've proven it myself how fun preppy looks are. Its fun and cute to look at somebody wearing it but its actually more fun when you're in it. I hope you got that!

The primary purpose of the belt around me was an idea from my head to do a DIY peplum but it was a huge failure! Haha! So I just left it hanging that way since my top was a loose one.

One lucky fact I can say in this look is that most of it are new except for my clutch, belt and heels. Really good timing for welcoming the new year. You may be wondering why I wasn't wearing red during new year's eve, blame it all to emerald green! I just went red lingerie during the eve to still keep the traditional luck.

Nothing goes more preppy than putting a pop of lip color over neutral eyes! I did a simple mixture of Cover Girl's Outlast Lipstain in Flirty Nude and Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Charm shade. I've always loved mixing different kinds of lippies, it usually results to unique colors.

This post is definitely one of my favorites. I actually enjoyed accessorizing this look because it was so easy! Slim gold belt and slim rings, brown and gold all over my right arm and my neck, nude tights with cute pink heart details plus the gold sequins on my shoes= put together! My emerald green skirt and nails popped out by just that.

What do you think about my look?

P.S. Thanks much to my kind and amazing sister Zam who took these great shots of me!
