Casual In A Festival

Going casual on a festival day might be quite odd. But blame me not because I was really feeling touristy last Sunday, during the #Sinulog2013. For my international readers who don't know what Sinulog is, simply click here. Its one of the most biggest festivals here in Cebu and the rest of Visayas. And I wouldn't miss it for the world! Well okay, I had one absent though.

Every Sinulog, most of the streets here in Cebu are closed, which means that no vehicles could enter the road except for those that are part of the grand parade. Obviously, it means to say that everyone is required to walk whatever the weather may be- No excuses! So usually, people are in flats, slippers, sandals, or barefoot it is. lol. While everyone was wearing their shorts/pants and maxi's, I threw myself up with a high low skirt which made me super comfortable the whole day since it's made of cotton. Added it up with my lace corset (which I super love) and a sheer vest to make an interesting statement.

Keeping my hair up in a bun 'do plus the colors of the contestants' costumes just made my day relaxing even if the sun was at its highest peak. What I love most in this ensemble btw was how I paired my corset and my skirt, it actually looked like its a dress when in fact they're both separates.

I accessorized myself with neons to brighten up my whole look and also because its a festival day. Lucky I have these yellow flats that looked like neon yellow in reality from Tutum. They're so comfy and stylish that I could think of another neon outfit to pair it with!

What do you think about my look?

[Papaya Clothing corset, WAGW skirt, Forever 21 sheer vest, Edge Co necklace, House of Luxe spiked bangle, Tutum flats, Random sunnies]

Hype this on Lookbook and Chictopia!
