Eighty Two Is Plaid, Not My Number

Funny how I'm in a chic ensemble yesterday and now, I'm a laid back edgy chic. Which tells us that fashion itself can be unpredictable (or should I say I am?). Good news is, plaids and checks are back on trend! I remember few years back, probably when I was still in high school, plaids are everywhere, over used and styled in so many ways and even if it got off the season's trends, I could still notice quite a lot wearing them. To get to the point, plaids and checks are very convenient and are instant style staples. They could be in one color but in different hues, three or more colors together or two colors combined like the one I have on!

I have to admit I'm not really a fan of check prints and I barely have them in my closet. Few years back, I only had one polo in plaid print and I think I only wore it once as far as I could remember. Haha! But when I saw this graphic sweater at Forever 21, I accused myself guilty for not liking it that much but only a little bit. I mean look at this sweater, gray over sized sweaters in black graphic prints are attractive but they're everywhere, but this one, it's combined with checks and they surprisingly look great! Plus, I haven't seen so much of these around stores so it's really one of a kind! Don't you love it too?

Accessorizing this ensemble was definitely fun and easy. Even if I was a bit of being maximalist, I was glad I still pulled everything so well 'cause I was tad of a bit in a hurry when I accessorised this look.

Luckily when I bought this sweater, they still have my size which is, small. But it's still loose and long for me. #petiteproblems When talking about plaids and checks, the quickest look that instantly swoons into my mind is a feminine look with a boyish twist, always loose and gives comfort in any kind of apparel. Instead of pairing it with the usual shorts and sneaks, A-line skirts or skaters, I thought of the high low ones which is kind of unusual but when I saw how everything came out I surprised myself (in a very good way!). To sum up, I'm definitely counting this look in to my faves. Oh well it's good to get surprise! surprise! sometimes. You know what I mean!

What do you think about my look?
